Airport Tycoon 2 Destination Tier List
Unlock routes that get picked. A high ticket with zero roll chance is a souvenir.
Destinations are the ticket table. The badge Where To Next? is your first unlock. Completion runs show a UI with pick chance and base ticket. Named rows from current-game videos: Tycoon Town ~$35 (starter), New Harper City $80 at 27%, Dune Crest $210, plus Isla Breeza, Oasis Royale, Pinefall Village, Neil Bay, and Mont Clair (spelling can drift in commentary). One run had 6 of 14 discovered, so expect at least fourteen cities. This page ranks the system, because Joey_Deep has not posted a public spreadsheet.
How to read a destination
Pick chance. How often boarding rolls this city. Ticket value. What a passenger pays when it does. Rarity mix. Legendaries multiply whatever the city pays. Commons do not save a bad route.
Expected value is pick chance times ticket times who actually boards. You do not need a calculator to see that a 5% ultra-city behind a seven-seat plane is worse than a 27% mid-city you can fill.
S — First destination, then any high-pick mid ticket
The first unlock is S because it turns flights into a table instead of a toy. After that, S is any route that is selected often enough to notice. If the UI shows a healthy percent and a ticket above your current filler, buy it before a plane jump.
A — High ticket with honest pick chance
The $80 / 27% style row is A: you feel it in the ATM. Unlock these after seating and a second lane exist so the people who roll it can actually board. See Getting Started and security.
B — Extra cities for variety and badges
More stamps help You’ve Been Around (100 flights) feel less samey and may feed index variety. B if S/A already pay the bills. The walkthrough uses destinations as Act 2, not Act 1 spam.
C — Trophy names
Exotic destinations are in the listing copy. If the pick chance is a meme, the city is C until luck and capacity catch up. Name prestige does not collect itself.
D — Unlocking a route you cannot staff
A new city while families stall at one scanner is D. The ticket never prints. Spend on amenities and lanes.
Luck and destinations
Luck does not raise pick chance; it raises who buys the ticket. A Legendary on an A-tier route is the jackpot. A Legendary on a destination that never rolls is a guest who shops the sundae and leaves. Stack luck via Premium/Plus, rebirth, and any Store luck pass you actually want. Details on the Legendary page.
Co-op voting
On co-op saves, pin one A-tier city as the session goal. Two partners unlocking two vanity routes at once splits the pick table. Call the buy, auto-save, then both watch one boarding to confirm the new percent appeared.
World 2 winter routes
The World 2 event promised a winter airport. Expect cold-weather cities with their own pick/ticket pairs. We will add named rows when they are visible in the client. Until then, the S/A rules hold: unlock what gets picked. Track the event on World 2.

How to Get Money is the narrative version of this math. Codes may fund an unlock; they do not change percents. Scripts that auto-unlock every city on other tycoons are the wrong remotes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
When should I unlock my first destination?
As soon as Snack Tax and a second security lane exist. The Where To Next? badge is an early money spike.
Is a higher ticket always better?
No. Multiply by pick chance. A mid ticket that rolls often beats a huge ticket that never boards.
Does luck change destination pick chance?
Luck changes passenger rarity, not the city’s roll percent. Both matter for ATM size.
Will World 2 add new destinations?
That is the expectation for the winter airport. Official names will be added here when they appear in-game.
