Airport Tycoon 2 Controls

Airport Tycoon 2 uses a standard Roblox character plus a left-rail management HUD. You will spend more time tapping Store, scanners, and the collector than performing aerobatics. This page is the HUD map so Getting Started is not a scavenger hunt.

Left rail

Store. Codes, cash bundles, game passes. How to redeem lives entirely in this panel. On mobile it is easy to miss; zoom the HUD or rotate to landscape.

Rebirth. Separate from Store. The first threshold is commonly 150k. Do not bind it in your head next to Claim. Read the rebirth guide before you confirm.

Index / passengers. Opens rarity collections. Legendary tracking is explained under players.

Leaderboards. Departures, rebirths, co-op ranks.

There is no Twitter/X code button on this rail. If you see one, you launched the 2019 game.

Airport Tycoon Part 1 — Shop, Upgrades, Rebirth HUD

World interactions

Security scanners. Walk into the lane, use the prompt to scan, then approve or reject. Playthroughs show a fast scan-and-approve loop. Building a second lane is a purchase, not a keybind — see security.

ATM / collector. Interact to pocket ticket and amenity cash. Make this a habit after every flight wave.

Amenity and expansion buttons. Floor buttons or prompts on the plot. Update 5 removed Star Tokens from expansions, so the prompt is a cash confirm.

Gates and planes. Boarding is mostly simulated once destinations and aircraft exist. You are not doing a full flight-sim landing by default; you are managing the terminal that feeds the jet. The plane list is a purchase guide, not a yoke map.

Keyboard and mouse (PC)

Use default Roblox move keys. Click prompts for scan, collect, and buy. Mouse look helps in a dense concourse (globe fountain, giant sundae, luggage belts). If UI scale hides Store, lower Roblox UI scale in the escape menu.

Touch (phone / tablet)

Thumb the left rail carefully. Auto-jump can bounce you out of a scanner — disable it if scans cancel. Landscape mode makes Gate signs (C1, B1) readable so you do not buy the wrong wing. The official screenshots are 16:9 terminals for a reason.

If iOS feels sticky on vehicles, that is a common Roblox tycoon complaint; this game is more HUD than driving, so stay on foot until you need a plane spawn.

Console

Highlight HUD icons with the stick, confirm with the action button. Hold the camera slightly high so you can see both the scanner queue and the collector. Six-player servers plus particles around fountains can tank frame time — stand still when you open Store so you do not mis-click rebirth.

Camera and performance

A high camera makes amenity paths obvious: you want a line from security to seating to gate, not a maze. If the client stutters, lower graphics; missing a scan costs more money than missing a reflection on the floor.

Co-op control split

On a shared save, do not both stand in the same scanner. One player owns security, one owns Store and collector. Voice chat is not supported on the listing, so use Discord or Roblox chat to call purchases. The co-op guide has the full split.

Accessibility notes

Prompts are text-heavy. If you play in another language, Roblox’s client language does not always translate every tycoon billboard. This wiki stays in English plus FR/DE/ES/PT pages so the guides hub still matches the HUD words Store, Claim, and Rebirth.

When World 2 adds a winter airport, expect new floor buttons in a second biome. The left rail should stay the same; we will note any Store move on updates.

If a control does nothing, you are probably on the wrong save profile or still in a tutorial lock. Switch profile, or finish the first amenity prompt from Getting Started.
